Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Astermax (the "Service"), operated by Andrey Senko ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Below is the legal information about using Astermax. We've tried to keep it clear and human-readable, but some sections use standard legal language required for compliance.

1. Description of Service

Astermax is a personal astrology application that generates personalized astrological content based on your natal chart. The Service provides interpretations, thematic overviews, and compatibility reports derived from astronomical calculations.

The Service provides astrological interpretation and self-reflection content only. Nothing in the Service constitutes advice — financial, medical, legal, psychological, or otherwise. Astrological content is not predictive and is not intended to be relied upon for real-world decisions. We make no claims about the accuracy or real-world applicability of astrological interpretations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Account Registration

You may sign in using your Google account. We may add additional sign-in providers later. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@astermax.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Trial

At launch, we will offer a free trial period as described on the Pricing page. The trial starts when you create your Personal Blueprint. You will not be charged during the trial. Paid billing begins only if you choose to subscribe and authorize payment.

4.2 Paid Subscription

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis at the price displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processing partner) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

4.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing from time to time. Where advance notice is required by applicable law or by the relevant payment provider, we will provide it before the new pricing takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings in the app or by contacting us at support@astermax.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund; see our Refund Policy for eligibility.

4.5 Taxes

Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes. If our payment partner collects and remits tax on your behalf, it will be shown at checkout. Where tax is not collected by our payment partner, you are responsible for any applicable local taxes, levies, or duties.

5. License

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
Use the Service to build a competing product
Resell, sublicense, or transfer your access to the Service
Use automated means to access or scrape the Service

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the personal data you provide during chart setup. You grant us a limited license to use that data solely to calculate your natal chart and generate your personalized content within the Service.

Personalized content generated by the Service (interpretations, reports) is provided for your personal use. You may not republish or commercially exploit generated content without our written consent.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, text, graphics, and all other content not provided by you, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in our intellectual property beyond the limited license described above.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Harass, abuse, or harm others
Transmit malicious code or interfere with the Service's infrastructure
Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
Circumvent any access controls or subscription gating

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any astrological content generated by the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and requesting deletion through your account settings in the app or by contacting us at support@astermax.com.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. Sections 7, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ukraine, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
